FINANCE MINISTER CONTINUES DISCUSSION ON COMING BUDGET Kathmandu, 22 June: Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun continued his discussion with opposition party leaders Friday on promulgating a annual budget for 2012/13 in mid-July. Pun is currently holding discussions with UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal after talks with NC President Sushil Koirala Thursday. Opposition says a caretaker government and in the absence of parliament cannot announce a budget without which further economic chaos will be crested.. nnnn UML CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET CONTINUES FRIDAY Kathmandu, 22 June: UML has now proposed seven provinces in a new Federal structure aftera two-daymeeting this week of national workers. The party’s central committee met Thursday to review the outcome of the national meet which continues Friday. The opposition was previously toying with the idea of creating five to 15 provinces. The establishment proposal comes after protests and threats from Janajati and Madeshi to quit and launch a new party Leaders charged voices of minorities and disadvantaged groups were marginalized.
