FIRE HAVOC CONTINUES IN DRY SPELL;;HOUSES DESTROYED IN BANKE Kathamandu, 13 June: Property worth millions of rupees was gutted in a fire broke out at Jamunaha village of Matehiya VDC- 8 in Banke district on Tuesday evening, RSS reports from Banke.. A total of 145 houses and huts were destroyed in the fire. According to the District Police Office Banke, the fire destroyed the property worth Rs. 20 million. It was very difficult to put out the fire since the village had almost thatched-roof houses.The victims of the massive fire had to spend the night under an open sky near to paddy field. The Nepal Red Cross Society distributed noodles and biscuits to the victims this morning.It is learnt that a team for the district administration office has already left for the fire-affected area for providing relief to the victims.
