FORMER CROWN PRINCESS
DISTRUBUTING RELIEF MATERIALS TO FIRE VICTIMS
; PROMISED GOVT. RELIEF HASN’T YET REACHED THE SIRAHA VILLAGE
Kathmandu, 20 June: Former King Gyanendra os visiting Rupendhaehi within Ashad [13 July], Ghatana ra Bichar reports.
The visit is likely in the third week of Ashwin
He has been invited by residents of Butwal and Bhaiahawa.
Meanwhile, Former Crown Princess Himani, who chairs the Himami Trust, is visiting Aurahi in Siraha to distribute relief material to victims if a huge fire there
during a dry spell before the monsoon.
Twenty-five bundles of roofing and bamboo are being distributed.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and ministers visited the village the day after the fire and promised relief which hasn’t been delivered yet, television
reports said.
The Crown Princess arrives in Siraha Thursday from Janakpur wher she
will arrive Wednesday.
She will return to the capital Friday.
