FUTHER DETAIILS OF REBEL MAOIST MEET Kathmandu, 16 June: Senior Vice Chairman of UCPN Maoist Mohan Baidya Kiran has stressed on the need of a new leadership claiming that the existing leadership has been incapable and failure, RSS reports. Speaking at the inauguration of national assembly of his favorites in the party, Baidya announced the inception of a new party stating that the leadership has already given into the cause of Congress and UML. " Senior leadership has failed to meet people's aspirations. They have been seduced by personal interests, " said Baidya calling to form a new party. He accused the party leadership of sacrificing the ideals of Maoist party and the PLA."It would hold no meaning to have an association with that party which has failed to work as per the interests of the people and the nation", he said, pointing out to the party's establishment side. The gathering would prove to be a driving force to form a new communist party and to take forward the revolution thorough a new angle, he said. Leader Baidya said the country needs a new leadership since the Nepali Congress, the CPN (UML) and his own party leadership have been a total failure following the dissolution of the Constituent Assembly without promulgating the new constitution. He claimed that the CA was dissolved because of the parties' greed for the post of prime minister, not because of the federalism issues. Also speaking at the inaugural session, Maoist Standing Committee member Netra Bikram Chand said the 'real villains' of the Nepali politics who were responsible for the CA dissolution are now attempting to persuade the people by shedding crocodile tears. "He said the gathering was not meant for splitting the party, instead it was for disassociating with those people who have played with the sentiments of the people. Pointing out to the Friday's mass meeting of the party's establishment side, leader Chand said unity was not possible in words, adding, "We are ready to sacrifice anything to safeguard the nation from the hands of brokers." Chairman of Dalit Mukti Morcha, Tilak Pariyar, Madhesi Mukti Morcha Chairman Krishna Dev Singh Danuwar and Chairperson of All Nepal Women's Association (Revolutionary) Jayapuri Gharti called for taking the party ahead on a revolutionary course. Vice Chairman Baidya is expected to present a political report focusing on party's present situation, working policy and future strategy among others at the closed session of the gathering beginning tomorrow. Some 25,000 representatives across the country are said to be taking part in the meeting. nnnn
