INCREASING DEMANDS LED TO CA FALURE SAYS NEMWANG

Kathmandu, 11 June: Former chairman of the Constituent Assembly, Subash Nembang, has admitted that the constitution was not promulgated because of the mounting demands of various parties and ethnic groups at the last hour, RSS reports.
Releasing books penned by sociologist Nilam Shekhar Adhikari at a programme in the capital on Sunday, former CA chairman Nembang said although dissolved CA failed to bring constitution, the political parties must cooperate each other and forge consensus to deliver constitution to the people.
At the programme, Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal, Upendra Yadav, said some Madhes- centric parties were ignoring genuine demands of Madhes.
The released books were- Human Rights and Ethnic Extremism, and Bagmati Ra Brahmaputrasamma.
