INDIAN PM SINGH READY TO EXTEND HELP
Kathmandu, 22 June: Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that India is willing to extend help for Nepal on its key economic agendas during the sideline meeting with Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai on the occasion of United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, RSS reports.
Expressing his concerns on the ongoing peace process of Nepal, Indian Premier Singh advised to handle the current political transition of the country with care, said Prime Minister Bhattarai. Prime Minister Singh hoped that Nepal’s peace process would conclude soon and it would witness a multi-party democracy as desired by the Nepali people, Prime Minister Bhattarai informed after the meeting.
The meeting also dwelled on the bilateral assistance and promotion of mutual interest through the Nepal-India joint commission in the foreign ministerial level of both the countries.
India also expressed its willingness to supply electricity as per the need of Nepal. The meeting had taken place for half-an-hour.
Meanwhile, United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon had stressed on the need to forge consensus among the political parties of Nepal to accomplish the remaining tasks of the ongoing peace process and statute writing on the occasion.
Prime Minster Bhattarai and UN Secretary General Ban had discussed issues including Lumbini development, statute writing, peace process and Nepal's latest political development during the sideline meeting of the conference.

FORMER CROWN PRINCESS OFFERS PUJA AT JANAKI MANDIR

Mahantha of the Temple, Ramtapeshwor Das had familiarized Former Crown Princess Himani about the situation of the temple.
Similarly, the former crown princess also inspected the Mithila Museum located at the Temple premises.
Different objects linked with the life of Sita, daughter of King Janak, including traditional clothes, artistic jewelry, crown, among others, have been kept in the Museum for display.
Himani returned to Kathmandu today itself after offering prayer in the temple.
