The move demonstrates the irreconcilable differences between the two factions with prediction of a split in the party leading the government. UCPN (Maoist) is also the largest party. PM Bhattarai told a television programme Thursday night differences broke out after the establishment decided to integrate former Maoist combatants in cantonments and satellite camps and handover insurgency-era weapons to Nepal Army (NA).
