PADDY TRANSPLANTED ONLYIN 5 PERCENT FIELDS Kathmandu, 27 June: Paddy so far has been transplanted only in five percent of farmland when normally it is transplanted in 30 percent of fields. After two bumper harvests, production of paddy and maize is expected to fall this year. Dr. Shyam Kishore Sah of agriculture ministry said Wednesday. Inadequate rain and lack of fertilizers will affect the production of the two staple crops this year, he added. Nnnn
