PM AT CONVENTION OF BPKIHS Kathmandu, 9 June: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that democratic republic is the best ruling system to bring about progressive changes in the country, RSS reports from Itahari.. Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai, who is also the Chancellor of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), made such statement on Saturday while attending the Ninth Convocation of the BPKIHS, one of the most prestigious medical institutions in the country. On the occasion, 50 students were honored with MD/MS, eight with M.Sc (Nursing), 10 with Masters in Public Health, 96 with MBBS, 40 with BDS, 20 with B.Sc (Nursing) and 18 with B.Sc (M.IT) including other degrees. Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai congratulated the successful candidates for receiving the degrees and urged them to work honestly in their respective fields.Similarly, Dr Bhattarai lauded the roles of BPKIHS in the country´s health sector and expressed confidence that the BPKIHS would carry out exemplary works in the field of medical in the future as well. In a separate context, the Prime Minister said that elections to the Constituent Assembly (CA) is the only best option to write the constitution saying that he was saddened by the CA dissolution without promulgating the constitution. The government has announced the CA elections for November 22. Saying that he was making maximum efforts to forge consensus among the political parties, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that the parties would forge consensus soon to the end the present political deadlock. Chief Guest of the Convocation, Prof Dr Raj Kumar Sharma, Director at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Medical Sciences, India, said the BPKIHS was also an institution of pride even for India. nnnn ________________________________________
