PM RETURNS TO CAPITAL BY ANOTHER CHOPPER UPDATE
Kathmandu, 9 June: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai returned to the
capital Saturday evening from Udaipur after he was picked up there by another Nepal Army helicopter.
The first helicopter made an emergency landing there after developing a
snag as he was returning from Sunsari.

KAMALL THAPA CALLS FOR REINSTATEMENT OF MONARCHY WITHOUT MINCING WORDS
Kathmandu, 9 June: RPP- Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa told a public
Rally in the capital Saturday there‘ was no alternative’ to an election after
dissolution of the constituent assembly (CA) after announcement of
assembly elections 22 November.
Thapa demanded an election government headed by a former chief justice forfreeand fair polls.
The public meeting was made at the same place where 22 other opposition parties held a sparsely attended meeting Friday amid opposition claim they would attack
100,000 people.
The RPP-Nepal chief said the the ‘loot’ and rule of the four-power was
‘Days of loot of the syndicate have ended,” Thapa said. “It’s role wont be accepted by people any longer.
Thapa said all decisions of the dissolved assembly, including abolition of monarchy, are now null and demanded its restoration along with activating a 1990 constitution.
‘We will come out on the street if we are stopped and bring back monarchy.”
“The former king will be reinstated in Narayanhiti from Nagarjung.he shoulsnot lose patience.”
The four parties were ‘hiding their faults,’ Thapa added.

FURTHER DETAILS OF POKHARA QUAKE
Kathmandu, 9 June: Reports of minor damage caused by Saturday’s
Pokhara have filtered in.
A police outpost at Hansapur un Kaski district developed cracks.
Two houses in Lekhnath also developed cracks in the district.
