Kathmandu, 12 June; Amid predictions and likelihood of a split UCPN (Maoist), Chairman Prachanda held consultations Tuesday with First
Vice-Chairman Mohan Baidhaya at the latter’s residence.
Baiihaya faction has come out on the street against amid deep ideological and personal differences with the party leading the caretaker government.
Baidhaya faction is holding a national convention in the
capital next week and the establishment in an apparent move to disrupt the meet has announced its own programmes in the capital.

SHER BAHADUR DEUBA STAYS AWAY FROM NC CENTRAL
COMMITTEE MEET
Kathmandu, 12 June; Senior leader and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba stayed away from NC central committee Tuesday as well despite repeated requests President Sushil Koirala to attend.
Deuba has been staying from meetings for nine months amid differences.
The committee is discussing plans for anti-governments with other
opposition parties.
UML standing committee also is being held amid threats from Janajatis
and Madeshis to quit charging party was opposed their demand for ethnic provinces.

PRESIDENT ASKS FINANCE MINISTER PUN TO BRING BUDGET WITH POLlTICAL CONSENSUS AN UNDERSTANDING
Kathmandu, 12 June:President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav Tuesday asked
Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun to being an annual budget in mid-Jjly
only with political consensus and understanding.
Minister Pun briefed the president Tuesday and told him the government
was preparing an annual budget 2069.70 to be brought through
ordinance opposed by opposition political parties.

SLIGHT GAIN IN STOCK PRICES
Kathmandu, 12 June; Share prices registered slightly for the second consecutive day.
The market gained 1.61 points or 0.44 percent and closed at 367.92 points.
Altogether 130,324 shares were trade for Rs. 31.396 million in 1070 transactions.
