PRACHANDA, PM BHATTARAI NO LONGER AN ATTRACTION AS IN PAST
Kathmandu, 15 June: The revolutionary rhetoric of vitriolic speaker
Maoist Chairman Prachanda and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai didn’t
attract masses or independent crowds at a rally of UCPN (Maoist) on a
scorching afternoon at Open Air Theatre Friday.
Independents put the audience strength at around 30,000 There were
opened spaced on the ground that can accommodate a packed crowd of
100,000 the party claimed would assemble.
Crowds didn’t overflow on to the pavements around Tundihkhel and
traffic around the parade ground was normal—no disruptions..
The Maoist establishment rally attracted more people than rally than the
RPP-Nepal rally at the same venue.
A mass meeting of the 22 party opposition led by NC and UML drew the
smallest crowd.
Prime Mister Baburam Bhattarai charged NC and UML were inciting the president against the government.
