PRESIDENTS YADAV ASKS PARTIES TO FORCE CONSENSUS UPDATE
Kathmandu, 17 June: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav Sunday morning called for
consensus between leaders and parties to end a new deadlock while hosting
leaders of 25 political parties to a tea reception at Shital Niwas..
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and Vice-president Parmanda Jha were also
present.
Some parties have called on the president to intervene end a crisis while Maoists remined Dr. Yadav he’s only a ceremonial head without executive powers that wrests with the government.
Every action is the president is being watched and Maoists have given him full
marks for his handling so far of the crisis.
The president himself has said he’ll act according to provisions in the interim.
Differences broke out between th president between the president and Prime
Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal [Prachanda- who resigned in nine months over
the government’s dismissal them Army Chief Gen.Rukmangud Katwal who retained his post but thehead of government quit.

UPDATE DHONI COMPLETES NEPAL VISIT
Kathmandu, 17 June: Indian national cricket team captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni
flew home Sunday after a one-day visit..
Dhoni and wife Sakshi offered prayers and puja at Pashupatinath temple before
flying home.
