PRIVATE CITIZENS PERMITTED USE OF NATIONAL FLAG Kathmandu, 15 June: Private citizens can now legally fly the national flag from their houses. Government amended a law to permit persons outside government to fly the flaf atop their houses. Their use was restricted ministers and senior officials. Flags were flown atop government buildings as well. Nnnn NEPALGUNJ RECORDS 44.9 DEGREES CELCIUS TEMPRATURE Kathmandu, 15 June; Nepalgunj Thursday recorded the highest temperature in the country—44.9 degrees Celsius amid an extended dry spell with high temperature. There was little or no rre-monsoon shower this year unlike the previous two years, Seniot Meteorologist Rajendra Shrestha at Meteorological Forecasting Division said. Maize production is likely to be this this year as a result. Nnnn SECURITY FOR SUPREME COURT JUSTICES REINFPRCED Kathmandu, 15 June: Security for supreme court justices has been Reinforced, Kantipur reports. Under government’s special security plan, two personal security guards along with three guards will be provided to justices. nnnn
