SAMUEL TAMRAT HOLDS DISCUSSIONS WITH ETHNIC INDIGENOUS LEADERS Kathmandu, 10 June: Samuel Tamrat, envoy of US Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, hekd discussions with ethnic and indigenous leaders last week at the office of NEFIn in Kusunti, Lalitpur, Kantipur said. Discussions were held with NEFIN Chairman Raj Kumar Lekhi Tharu, General Secretary Ang Kazi Sherpa, treasurr dendu Sherpa, and others. Tamrat requested them to present demands in a balanced manner. ‘The country’s present situation was discussed. Tamrat advised caution. In the Nepali context, a federation with ethnic identity is new. and to establish this, Tamrat advised caution,” General-Secretary Sherpa said. Tamrat came Wednesday to review Nepal’s situation after the government declaration of constituent assembly (CA) elections created new and even worse crisis. Tamtar has been conducting talks with political party leaders., Kathmandu-abed foreign diplomats, including ambassadors from China and India , election officials and Foreign Minister Narayan Kazi Shrestha.. nnnn
