SURYA BAHADUR THAPA SUFFERS HEART ATTACK
Kathmandu, 9 June: Former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa suffered a heart attach Saturday and a pacemaker has been inserted after he was rushed to hospital.
He’s on ventilator and his condition is still not out of danger, a doctor
treating him.
The Chairman of Rashtriya Janashakti Party (RJP) collapsed at home at 9.30 in the morning, aide Kiran Giri said.
Thapa addressed an anti-government rally of 22 parties in the capital Friday.

QUAKE JOLTS POKHARA AREA
Kathmandu, 9 June: A quake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit areas north of Pokhara at 1.39 in the afternoon Ssturday, seismologists from USA reported.
Locals said the jolt lasted nearly 12 seconds.
No immediate reports of damage were reported.
The quake was felt in the neighbouring hill and terai ditricts of Chitwan and Nawalparasi first reports said.

RPP-NEPAL MEET
Kathmandu, 9 June: Leaders and workers have started converging on Open Air Theatre Saturday on a hot day for a “show of force” as the party demanded a constitutional monarchy and Hindu state.
The party said all decisions taken by the constituent assembly (CA) in four years are null and void, including a declaration of a republic.
It’s for the new CA to decide on adopting decisions of the dissolved assembly which spent 9 billion rupees in four years without adopting a constitution.
Most of the money was provided by donors, especially European.
