Kathmandu,7 June: Samuel Tamrat, Special envoy of UN Secretary-
General Ban Ki-moon, also held separate discussions with NC President
Sushil Koirala and UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal Thursday,
“We encourage parties not to prolong the crisis. Hope we will see some
results,” Tamrat said after meeting the leaders.
He is preparing a Nepal report to be submitted to the secretary-general after
consulting Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
Tamrat came for on-the-spot study after government declared constituent assembly (CA) elections and the automatic dissolution of the assembly.
He said a constitution was needed.
NC and UML are opposed to the government.
They reiterated the party positions to Tamrat,

KAMAL THAPA SAYS ALL CA DECISIONS ARE NULL AND VOID
Kathmandu, 7 June: RPP-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa said Thursday all
decisions of the constituent assembly (CA)are null and void, including the declaration of republic, after the automatic dissolution of the assembly.
“All decisions are automatically null and void, including declaration of a
Republic,” Thapa told reporters.
“The assembly can’t be reinstated. The president does not have the power,” he said.

NARAYANMAN BIJUKAKCHAYA HOLDS CONSULTATIONS

Kathmandu, 7 June: Narayanman Bijukakchaya, chairman of Bhaktapur based Nepal Majdoor Kishan Party, held consultations with President Dr. Ram Baran
Yadav Thursday.
The Bhaktapur leader of the splinter communist group was assisted by two
party aides.

HUGE HASH HAUL
Kathmandu, 7 June: Jit Bahadur Gurumg was arrested Wednesday with 2kg hashish at
Matatirtha Itakhel.
The arrestee has been identified as Jit Bahadur Ghising (50) of Palung-9 Makwanpur district.
Gurung was arrested while entering the capital from Makwanpur.
