THREE MEMBERS OF FAMLY Kathmandu, 25 June: Three members of a family wee crushed to death overnight by a tree uprooted in a storm in Kanchapur. Piplari in Kanchanpur overnight. A mother and her two children aged 10 and 12 years were killed.. The storm has caused widespread damage, first reports said. nnnn DPM GACHEDHAR, PRACHANDA MEET Kathmandu, 25 Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of MJFL Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar and Moist Chairman Prachand held discussions Monday. Prachanda heads the UCPN (Maoist) leading the government with Madesh Morcha. They discussed possible rescheduling of the 22 November elections for the constituent assembly (CA) declared by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai before leaving for Brazil from where he returns Monday. Prachanda and Gachedhar agreed there government should move ahead with agreement between main parties. Nnnn CHINESE PRIME MINISTER WEN DIDN’T MEET P, BHATTARAI IN RIO Kathmandu, 25 June: Chinese Prime Minister Wen didn’t meet Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai in Rio, Yubaraj Ghimere writes in Sanghu. This indicates the falling image of Premier Bhattarai who has lost ground for the confidence of China. Bhattarai belittled Nepal-China ties in an interview with an Indian newspaper by saying China ‘is nothing” for Nepal’s prosperity, economic development and progress. Bhattarai met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The Nepali premier didn’t show a balanced view of Nepal’s relations between India an China. Wen didn’t Bhattarai but met for the first time with the Bhutanese prime minister.
