US SENATE CONFIRMS APPOINTMENT OF PETER W. BODDE AS AMBASSADOR TO NEPAL Kathmandu, 20 June: Old Nepal hand Peter W. Bodde has been confirmed by the as UN ambassador to succeed Scott H. DeLisi who has been transferred to Uganda. Bodde, is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, and is currently the Coordinator for Minority Issues at the US Embassy in Baghdad and the Assistant Chief of Mission for Assistance Transition in Iraq. Ambassador Bodde joined the Foreign Service in 1981. He served as ambassador to the Republic of Malawi from 2008 to 2010. Bodde has also served in various positions in the State Department in Washington, DC, most recently was Director of the Office of Management Policy. nnnn
