15 INJURED IN PARSA CLASH Kathmandu, 5 July: More than 15 people including school teachers and police were injured in a clash that took place between the two sides here on Thursday, RSS reports from Parsa.. The clash took place after the teachers tried to padlock the District Education Office, Parsa in protest against the Government's decision to cut down by 50 per cent grant to teachers working under the Per Capita Funding (PCF) system. Police constable Janaram Adhikari and teachers Hira Lal Yadav, Angat Yadav, Radheswar Kumar Ram, Giri Raj Kandel, Mukesh Shah, Narayan Shah, Hira Lal Shah and others were injured. They are undergoing treatment at Narayani Sub-regional Hospital in Birgunj, according to police. Meanwhile, Coordinator of the PCF Teachers' Struggle Committee, Sona Lal Shah has blamed the police of suppressing their peaceful demonstration. However, senior police officials claim that minor force was used after the teachers pelted stones and bricks at the police personnel. nnnn
