SHARAT SINGH BHANDARI SLAMS MEDIA
Kathmandu, 20 July: Chairman of the Rastriya Madhes Samajbadi Party Sharat Singh Bhandari has said that only ending the discriminations could not save the country from going into disintegration, RSS reports.
During his meeting with Madhesi journalists today, leader Bhandari said the problems of fertilizer and seeds in the Terai have not got space in the media, proving an example of discrimination.
It is a matter of concern that issues of Madhesi journalists have been ignored even though the Madhes-centric parties have got an opportunity to lead the Information and Communications Ministry for a long time, he said.
Leader Bhandari further urged nongovernmental offices and private media houses to be inclusive.
Over two dozen Madhesi journalists are on a relay strike since July 17, demanding inclusiveness in media houses.

UPENDRA YADAV DEMANDS PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION
Kathmandu, 20 July: Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, Upendra Yadav has stressed the need of going for parliamentary elections to resolve the current political crisis. However, for this, the election government should be formed, he added, RSS reports from Lalitpur.
Speaking at a programme at Balkumari, Lalitpur, on Friday, he said the right solution to the present political impasse was election and the political parties should forge a consensus for the election government as soon as possible.
Forum Chairman Yadav said there was no possibility of holding another election to the Constituent Assembly as the interim constitution talks about only one CA election, adding that the reinstatement of the CA is also not reasonable to settle the current political transition.
It is better to forge a consensus to determine the constituency numbers and electoral system for the parliamentary election rather than wasting time trying to reach a consensus over the disputed issues in the constitution writing process, he added.
