BODIES OF GANDAK CANAL HANDED OVER TO NEAR ONES
Kathmandu, 16 July: Bodies of 37 pilgrims killed Sunday when a bus plunged
into Gandak Canal was handed over to loved ones Monday.
The bodies of two persons have yet to be identified.
Thirty-six Indian and three Nepali pilgrims were killed.

Services were disrupted after a strike by workers from different departments.

DEVOTEES FLOCK TO SHIVA TEMPLES
Kathmandu, 16July:Women devotees flocked to Shiva temples on the first Monday of Sharawan to offer prayer and uja.
Women pray for the long life of their husbands.
Shree panchami was also observed Monday marking the beginning of festivals.
