‘CIVIL SOCIETY’ MEMBERS URGE APPOINTMENT OF FACILITATORS TO END DEADLOCK
Kathmandu, 9 July: Padma Ratna Tuladhar, Daman Nath Dhungana and Bidhyadhar Mallik—members of ’civil society—held discussions with NC President Sushil KOirala in an effort to break a constitutional and political deadlock.
They discussed ways to end a deadlock through consensus.
Arjun Narsingh KC dismissed restoration of constituent assembly (CA) as
a solution.
Koirala emphasized to society members the need consensus to resolve
differences, according to KC.
The society members suggested appointment of national or international
facilitator to help end the deadlock.

14th NATIONAL WOMEN’S FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP IN
RAUTAHAT AND BARA
Kathmandu, 9 July: The 14th National Women’s Football Championship will be held by ANFA from July 14-28 in Bara and Rautahat, an announcement said Sunday..
Twenty-seven teams — 24 districts and three departmental—areparticipating.
The winner will get a prize money of Rs 300,000 in the knockout
Tournament and the runner-up Rs.150,000.
Rautahat, Nawalparasi, Taplejung, Surkhet, Kailali, Saptari, Morang, Bardiya, Dolakha, Jhapa, Dhanusa, Panchthar and APF will play their matches in Rautahat.
Udyapur, Kathmandu, Kanchanpur, Dhankuta, Bara, Makawanpur, NPC,
Sarlahi, Kaski, TAC, Rupandehi, Sunsari, Chitwan and Banke will be based in Bara.
