RSS nnnn UML LEADER OLI SAYS ELECTION IS FOR CONSENSUS GOVT. TO DECIDE Kathmandu, 20 July: Leader of the CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli has said that the date of the new Constituent Assembly (CA) should be announced by forming a national consensus government to end political crisis of the country, RSS reports. At an interaction organized by Press Chautari Nepal, District Committee, Kathmandu, here today, Oli said that the government has been focused on power greed by announcing the date of the Constituent Assembly (CA) after dissolving the CA in unconstitutional manner in the context that consensus was forged on most of the issues of the constitution writing in the past. He further said that saying that he would not resign from the post at any cost was the mentality of the prime minister of capturing state power, and added that his daydream would never be fulfilled. The CPN-UML has decided to hold election of the parliament by going for a new mandate and that parliament would promulgate the constitution by working as the CA for some six months and added that the Nepali Congress would not make delay even for a single minute to prepare the candidate of the prime minister for national consensus. Oli blamed that the agreement made on May 15 to promulgate the brief constitution by making draft of the resolved issued was foiled due to the pressure of some indigenous leaders. The current government could not be called the government of the UCPN-Maoist as it is only an alliance of Dahal-Bhattarai in the party, he said, and added the extended meeting of the UCPN-Maoist is being out of control due to extreme groupism in the party. nnnb
