CA ELECTION NOT POSSIBLE UNDER STATUS QUO
SAYS UPENDRA YADAV
Kathmandu, 29 July: Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) Nepal, Upendra Yadav has said the Constituent Assembly (CA) election would not be possible if the present situation persists, RSS reports.
Talking to media persons briefly at Biratnagar Airport today, Yadav ruled out the possibility of the election until and unless the incumbent Prime Minister resigns from the post and political parties reach to a consensus regarding the election issue.
"Resignation from the Prime Minister is the need of the hour to give the nation a way out to the present political stalemate," he said, adding that only the formation of a new government based on national consensus could ensure an atmosphere conducive to CA election.
The MJF Nepal Chairman further said that the President alone could not find a way out to the present political crisis in the country without a consensus among all the political parties.
He further accused the Madhes-based parties in the government of not becoming serious towards the Madhes issues.
He was on his way to attend the party training programmes in Siraha and Saptari districts.
