GRADE II SCIENCE EXAM RESULTS PUBLISHED
Kathmandu, 22 July: Grade XII exams under the science faculty conducted by Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) was announced Sunday.
About 72.31 per cent of regular students passed the exams and only
46.79 per cent of examinees succeeded in the partial category.
Altogether 35,774 -- 30,200 as regular and 5,574 partial students, took the tests
in April.

BHANU JAYANTI OBSERVED IN RUSSIA
Kathmandu, 22 July:: The 199th birth anniversary of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya was observed in Russia by organising a programme at the bank of Klazma lake, RSS reports.
On the occasion, Nepali Ambassador to Russia Dr Ravi Mohan Sapkota said Bhanubhakta, the pioneer poet (Adikavi) who was born to a peasant family has made great contributions to the development of Nepali language and literature.
Similarly, Non Resident Nepali Association International Coordination Council Chairman Jiba Lamichhane said Nepali language is the common language of Nepalis all over the world and other mother tongues there should also get due respect.
Chairman of the World Nepali Literature Federation Dr Madhukrishna Shrestha 'Madhurya' said the Bhanu Jayanti is being observed in different places in Russia including the Nepali Embassy, natural sites outside Moscow and at the house of the great Russian novelist Leo Tolstoy.
On the occasion, Krishna Prakash Shrestha was honoured in recognition to his contribution to the promotion of Nepali language for acting as a bridge between the Russian and Nepali literature through the means of writing and translations.
A novel 'Abstract Bangkok' by youth writer from Tehrathum district Khagendra Pandhak Limbu was released on the occasion.
Similarly, a poetry symposium was held in memory of the Adikavi. Kushal Kumar Niraula, Bimala Bhandari Basyal and Umesh Bhattarai stood first, second and third, respectively, said Shrestha in a press statement.
