MAOIST STUDENT WING ASKS EDUCATIONAL NAMES TOCHANGE TO NATIVE NAMES Kathmandu, 18 July: All Nepal National Independent Students´ Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) has urged all the colleges to change their international names within a week, RSS reports. Organizing a press conference here on Wednesday, ANNISU-R said it had to resort to vandalism of educational institutes for placing provocative advertisement and giving international names to schools. ANNISU-R Coordinator Sharad Rasaili said the boarding schools should be named in such a way that it reflects own nationality as naming schools with international words diminishes national identity. Cadres affiliated to ANNISU-R had vandalized KIST Nursing College and Chitwan-based CITF College under CTEVT, vehicle of Rato Bangla in Lalitpur, Florida in New Baneswor and South Western State College in Basundhara on July 16 and 17 nnnn ________________________________________ ARMED TERAI GROUP CONTESTING ELECTIONS Kathmandu, 18 July: R: A meeting held in Biratnagar under the chairmanship of central chairman of the Tarai Madhes Mukti Tiger (Janatantrik), Ramlochan Thakur (Swami) which is holding talks with the government, has decided to take part in the elections, ESS reports. A press release issued by the group's central vice-chairman on Tuesday stated that the armed outfit has been doing necessary homework to register the party at the Election Commission. It is said that the party will engage in ensuring rights of the Madhesi community. nnnn
