MINISTER TRIPATHI ASSURES COSENSUS BUDGET
Kathmandu, 6 July: Minister for Physical Planning, Works and Transport Management, Hridayesh Tripathi, has said that a complete budget would be brought, RSS reports.
At a programme organised here today, Minister Tripathi said that it was sure that this government would bring the budget on consensus.
He further said that there would be a long-term effect in the country as the amount provided by donor agencies, World Bank and Asian Development Bank for development works would not be spent and will affect the grant and loan agreements reached for development works if a complete budget was not brought.
Mentioning that consensus was sought in a package on disputed issues of the constitution including federalism and government, leader of Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party, Tripathi expressed the view that there were only two alternatives- one fresh elections and another- reinstatement of the Constituent Assembly (CA).

DEAD ELEPHANT CALF IN JHAPA
Kathmandu, 6 July: A dead elephant calf was found in Jhapa Friday.
It had no body wounds.
The cause of death of the endangered and protected species is being investigated.

JAPANESE GRANT FOR SINDHULI FARMERS
Kathmandu, 6 July: Japan, through its embassy, Friday pledged
Rs. 22.471 million grant to improve the livelihood of Nepali farmers in
Sindhuli.

The loan agreement was signed by Ambassador Kunio Takahashi and project manager of GLM Institute Wakana Nishiyama.
The GLM institute will coordinate with a local NGO Sirjansil Welfare
Society Sirjansil Welfare Society.
