MORE THAN 100 HOUSES INUNDTED BY RISING SAPTAKOSHI RIVER Kathmandu, 21 July: More than one dozen houses have been inundated when floods entered the Gobargadha VDC with the increasing flow of water in Saptakoshi River, RSS reports from Rajbiraj.. The floods entered the VDC Thursday evening with the sudden increase in water level. Houses of Mishrilal Sada, Sakaldev Sada, Chhutharu Sada, Sadananda Sada, Bhayalal Sada, Kabitlal Sada, Laxmi Sada, Govind Sada, Chhotakani Sada of Gobargadha- 7 have been completely inundated, said the victims. All the properties have been completely destroyed and they have difficulty in getting out of house as there is water all around, said Chhutharu Sada. Likewise, contact of Tilathi, Launia, Sakarpura, Rampura Malhaniya VDCs with Rajbiraj has been broken from road obstruction by Khado River. This is also said to be because of the dam built by Indian side to stop the water flow. Nnnn PRESIDENT YADAV VISITING LUMBINI Kathmandu, 21 July : President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav is scheduled to visit Butwal on Saturday, RSS reports. The president is scheduled to inaugurate the Korea – Nepal Institute of Technology (college) established in Butwal -14 with the cooperation of the Government of Republic of Korea. The president will come to Butwal after landing at the Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa by a Buddha air flight at 9:00 am today, said Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Hari Krishna Paudel. Security has been made stringent for the arrival of the president, he informed. KOICA Chairman and other high level officials will also come at the inaugural programme. The college building and other infrastructures have been constructed in nine bighas and 13 katthas of land at Tamnagar at a cost of Rs. 550 million of the Government of Korea through KOICA.
