NC APPOINTMENTS AND FORMATION DEPARTMENTS
Katmandu, 28 July: Main opposition NC President Sushil Koirala Saturday
appointed Dilendra Prasad Badu spokesman
Ram Krishna Tamrakar, a former minister of the Sher Bahadu Deuba camp
was nominated chief of Valley Coordination Committee, and
Baburam Rana central working committee (CWC) member.
The party chief also formed 12 more departments ahead of a meeting of party district presidents and secretaries and nearly two years after a general convention.
Departments of federal affairs; Muslim; Tarai-Madhes; Literature, Art and
Cultural; Peace, Security and Service; Kathmandu Contact Committee Coordination; Tourism; Science and Technology; Forests and Environment; Irrigation and Infrastructure Development; Financial Organisation Coordination,
Construction Entrepreneurs Coordination were formed.
The formation will have to be approved by the CWC.
Fourteen CWC members were nominated coordinators to the Zonal
Coordination Committees.
A party central steering committees was also formed to convene its sister
wings’ general convention, and support and direct the respective ad hoc committees.
Deuba has been demanding election to dissolved bodies.

TIBET AIRLINES TO FLY TO KATHMANDU
Kathmandu, 28 July: Tibet Airlines announced plans to fly to Kathmandu this week.
Kathmandu will be the first foreign destination of the airline as part of its
plan to enter the South Asian market.
