Kanchanpur defeated Kathmandu 3-1 in Bara and Dhankuta beat Makwanpur 4-2. nnnn BOMB BLAST CREATES FEAR; NO CASUALRIES Kathmandu, 17 July: A sutali bomb planted by an unidentified outfit went off today morning in the house of Kalika Prasad Dhakal, a resident of Jitpur, Bara, The Himalaya Times reports from Pathalaiya.. Following the blast, locals have been living in a state of fear as they have been putting up with terror by the underground outfits since some days. The bomb that was planted in front Durga Kumar Pandit rented room had damaged windows and cracked walls of the house. “The bomb went off while we were asleep,” said Pandit family. Dhakal and Pandit said that they have not received any threats from anyone after the blast but have been terrified by the incident. They urged police mobilisation for their security. Earlier similar types of bombs were planted in the houses of many locals. A gang in the name of Bihar Government aka Sharpshooter had tried to blast bomb in the house of Kanhaiya Gupta, but police detonated the explosive on time. Likewise, the same group planted two bombs in the house of Kapil Dev Prasad Yadav, Vice-chairperson of the Jitpur-based Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Bara, on Thursday and later police had timely detonated them. The group has been demanding donations from Rs 3-10 lakh from more than seven persons in Jitpur alone. Locals have been terrified with continuous bomb plantations. We are unsafe even in our houses, said locals. Sharpshooters have been threatening different traders by sending them letters and calling them in their cell phones. Police have already arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in the act and have started investigation. They have been calling from Indian numbers. Inspector at Area Police Office KP Sharma confirmed that the group has been active in Jitpur, hence the police have started taking necessary measures to tackle the problem. He informed that security has been beefed up in the area especially at night as the bombs are reportedly kept during night hours. nnnn
