NEPAL. CHINA HOME SECRETARIES MEET 21 JULY Kathmandu, 5 July: The Government has decided to give appropriate compensation to the family of Ramod Shaha, who died in the clash that took place between police and demonstrators at Gaur of Rautahat on Thursday, RSS reports. The meeting today of the Council of Ministers also decided to bear the expenses of the medical treatment of Rajesh Yadav and Binod Yadav, who were injured in the same incident, and to carry out an investigation into the incident, said Minister for Information and Communications, Raj Kishore Yadav. A decision was also taken to form an eight-member talks team under the leadership of Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture in order to accept the grant assistance of Rs. 2.46 billion to be received from the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) for seed program. Likewise, the cabinet today promoted Senior Planning Officer under Agriculture Service, Dhruva Narayan Shrestha to gazetted first class and approved the visit by a delegation led by the Home Secretary to the Nepal-China Home Secretary-Level Talks to be held in Beijing, China from coming July 21. According to Minister Yadav, the Government has decided to send Joint-Attorney General, Raj Narayan Pathak, to take part in the meeting of the Asia Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) to be held in Brisbane, Australia from July 16 to 20. The cabinet meeting gave a nod to Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Mahesh Man Shrestha to accept a honour to be presented to him by the Government of Bulgaria. The meeting today also endorsed the Joint Market Monitoring Guidelines, 2069 B.S., according to Minister Yadav. nnnn
