NOC TO PROPOSE DISSOLUTION OF BOTH NOCs Kathmandu, 9 July: National Sports Council (NSC) Sunday proposed the dissolution of both Nepal Olympic Committees .recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the supreme court ahead of the London Olympics. NSC board meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Sunday. Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan leads the NOC recognized by IOC and Rukma Shumshere Rana leads the NOC recognized by the supreme court. The dissolution will be sent to the cabinet. nnnn 11 STRANDED NEPALIS RETURN FROM AFGHANISTAN Kathmandu, 9 July: Eleven Nepalis stranded in Afghanistan for nearly one year returned to the capital Sunday with the help of foreign ministry.. Unscrupulous manpower agencies took them to Afghanistan and abandoned them at Baghram. Afghanistan is out of bounds for Nepalis, like Iraq. ICRC and International Organization for Migration (IOM) helped the repatriation. The merged commercial and financial institution have a paid-up capital of Rs. 2.47 billion. Bhaikajee Shrestha is CEO of the merged bank. Global Bank Ltd., IMF Financial Institution and Lord Buddha Finance Ltd have also merged under the name Global IME Bank Ltd. nnnn
