SUSHIL KOIRALA BLAMES MAOISTS FOR CRISIS Kathmandu, 17 July: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala has said national consensus among the parties has not been possible as the UCPN (Maoist) is moving ahead with a strategy to capture state power by imposing autocracy in the country. At a program organised in the Capital on Tuesday by Nepal Students Union, Kathmandu-Palpa Liaison Committee , he stressed that consensus could be forged in any ground if the Maoists were eager to embrace national consensus. “The UCPN (Maoist) is trying to impose autocratic rule in the country but our stance is to move ahead by forging a national consensus,” said President Koirala, adding that, “The latest activities by the Maoists have widened trust gap among the political parties.” nnnn
