TERAI LEADER EKECTIONS BEST FOR OUTLET Kathmandu, 18 July: Chairman of the Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party-Nepal, Mahendra Yadav, has said that Constituent Assembly (CA) elections would be the best alternative for a political outlet, RSS reports. Addressing the First National Seminar of the Nepal Loktantrik Muslim Front here today, Yadav said that the new CA formed after the elections to the CA could only write federal republican constitution with identity as desired by the general public. He said that a national consensus government should be formed for an outlet to national problems but it should be formed on the basis of guarantee of federal constitution with identity and country's progressive changes and not only for changing a government. TENURE Kathmandu, 18July: Central member of the Nepali Congress, Dr. Minendra Rijal, has argued that Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai announced the date of elections to the Constituent Assembly (CA) so as to stick to the government, RSS reports from Pokhara.. At a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union, Kaski, here on Wednesday, Rijal said that the Prime Minister fixed the date of election for November 22 unilaterally though there are legal and constitutional obstructions to hold new elections. He added that Prime Minister Bhattarai wants to extend the tenure of the government by postponing the election date. Rijal said that new constitution should be written by resolving the remaining disputed issues through the new elections from conclusions drawn through national consensus. nnnn
