UPDATE FORMER KING IN BHAIRAHAWA
Kathmandu, 1 July: Former King arrived in Bhairahawa Sunday to begin a
four-day religious and political tour of three mid-West terai districts.
He was welcomed with pro-monarchy supporters at the airport.
The former king is staying at a hotel in the town with his entourage.
The then king will offer puja and prayers at Hindu temples and Lumbini, thebrhplace of The Buddha.

UML CHAIRMAN KHANAL SAYS BUDGET ONLY THROUGH
CONENSUS
Kathmandu, 1 July:: CPN (UML) Chairman Jhalanath Khanal has said that the complete budget could not be brought without the political consensus, RSS reports..
During his meeting with a delegation of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) at his residence at Dallu today, leader Khanal stressed that Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai should immediately resign from the post so as to pave the way for forging national consensus.
Accusing PM Dr Bhattarai of causing obstructions in forging the national consensus, the UML Chairman claimed that a way out to the current political and constitutional crisis was not possible until and unless the PM gave up his 'self-centered' mentality and 'stances'.
The delegation urged former PM Khanal to be serious towards forging consensus and intensify parleys to that end so as to bring the complete budget in time.
Talking to media persons following the meeting, FNCCI President said the budget announced without consensus among all the parties could not be implemented. He underlined the need of the complete budget based on national consensus.
The delegation led by FNCCI President Suraj Baidya comprised Senior Vice President Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar, Vice President Pradeep Jung Pandey and former President Chandi Prasad Dhakal, among others.

POLICE ON LOOKOUT FOR FATHER, SON WHO RAPED A NINE-YEAR-OLD
Kathmandu, 1 July: : The Jhapa police has launched a manhunt to arrest Keshav Poudel and his 16-year-old son Sunil who had allegedly raped their nine years-old kin for a long time, RSS reports from Jhapa.j.
The family of the victim girl has filed a complaint against Poudel, a resident of Topgachhi- 7, and his son at the Area Police Office Damak.
The victim family has sought action against them and justice to the girl.
It is learnt the girl is niece of the Poudel senior by relation.
