ENDANGERED, PROTECTED WILD BUFFALO OR ARNA KILLS 11-YEAR-OLD BOY
Kathmandu, 3 Aug.: A minor has lost his life in an attack by a wild buffalo in Saptari district, RSS reports from Rajbiraj.
Eleven year-old Kailu, son of Laxmi Ram of Jagatpur VDC- 3 was attacked by the wild animal from the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, said the family source.
The incident took place as Kailu had strayed near the wildlife area at Paschim Jagatpur-1 to graze his cattle. Three other children who were with Kailu managed to escape and save their lives.
Police found the body of Kailu at around 10:00 pm yesterday. The body has been kept at the Rajbiraj-based Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital for post-mortem, it is learnt.
