NC CENTRAL WORKING COMMITTEE MEETS THURSDAY Kathmandu, 11 Aug.: Main opposition central working committee meeting has been convened Thursday. This was announced Saturday by Chief Secretary Basanta Kumar Gautam. The meeting comes after resolution of a dispute in the party over handling of sister organizations by the establishment and continuing constitutional and political crisis. The party has been divided between establishment and Sher Bahadur Deuba factions. Nnnn OPPOSITION TO DISRUPT OFFICIAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATIONS SUNDAY Kathmandu, 11 Aug.: Twenty-one opposition youth groups Saturday said they’ll disrupt official ‘Youth Day’ celebrations Sunday organized by government. The groups are on anti-government protests to push government of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai out of office. The 11-govrenment of Maoists and Madeshis have ignored opposition protests.. Nnnn ARMED MAN ARRESTED DURING RAID ON A ROOM IN PULCHOWK Kathmandu, 11 Aug.: The rented room of Om Prakash Ghari was raided by police Friday in Pulchowk and arrested Jagat KC, Gharti’s relative. An American pistol and some bullets were recovered. He has been charged under an arms and ammunition act. nnnn
