NC GENERAL CONVENTION IN JANAKPUR FROM 10 OCT. Kathmandu, 16 Aug.: NC general convention will be held in Janakpur from 10 to 13 October. ACHIEVEMENTS Kathmandu, 16Aug.: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said the government would move ahead by correcting the past mistakes, RSS reports from Chitwan.. Attending different programmes on Thursday after visiting the Chepang settlement at Siddhi in Chitwan, the Prime Minister also admitted that the government made some mistakes in the past. After visiting Kankali Community Forest in eastern Chitwan this morning, the Prime Minister said that timely budget was not possible due to transitional politics in the country and added that the government was planning to make the assistance given to the local level effective. Prime Minister Bhattarai said the country would move towards economic prosperity if the people and government were united. Saying the people and government had a big gap in the past, he stressed the need to narrow this gap gradually. Similarly, Dr Bhattarai who is also the Vice-Chairman of UCPN-Maoist met with 25 students of the Chepang community in their hostels in Jutpani VDC and pledged a support of Rs 100,000 support to one of them from his side. Likewise, the Prime Minister said that the Bharatpur Cancer Hospital should be developed into an international cancer treatment center. He said all should unite to make environment to bring the cancer patients for their treatment at the Bharatpur Cancer Hospital. Recalling that he doubled the amount of government assistance during his office at the finance ministry, the Prime Minister said the government would continue its support to the Hospital. He also expressed dissatisfaction to the frequent disputes at the Hospital. Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai returned to the capital this afternoon by concluding his visit to Chiwan district after meeting with the central advisors of the UCPN –Maoist in Chitwan.
