PRESIDENT CONVENES MEETING WITH BIG THREE AND MADESHBADI PARTIES
Kathmandu, 30 Aug.: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has convened a meeting Thursday with leaders of the Big Three and Madeshbadi party leaders in government to discuss a prolonged constitutional and political crisis.
The president has expressed concerned with the prolonged deadlock convened a meeting after a Wednesday’s summit of Maoists, leading the government and opposition NC and UML leaders.to end am extended period of direct confrontation
The leaders Wednesday discussed reconvening the dissolved constituent assembly (CVA) or fresh elections as a problem resolution.
The president convened the meeting amid deteriorating relations with Maoists in government after the head of state returned two election-related ordinances which was not held 22 November.
The caretaker government which can’t take major policy decisions under accepted international democratic practice, has sent more ordinances for promulgation arguing a ceremonial head of state hasno option but to follow government diktat.

16TH NAM SUMMIT MEET BEGINS IN TEHERAN THURSDAY
Kathmandu, 30 Aug.: The two-day 16th summit of members of the non-aligned movement (NAM) begins Thursday in the Iranian capital Teheran.
Prime Minister Baburm Bhattarai addressed the summit Friday.
He returns home Saturday and will head for New York to attend the annual summit of the UN general assembly for the second time.

NC FORM COMMITTEE TO ASSIST KHUM BAHADUR KHADKA
Kathmandu, 30 Aug.: Main opposition NC has formed a five-member committee to collect funds to assist Khum Bahadur Khadka of the Sher Bahaur Deuba camp in the party-
Khadka has been jailed and fined on corruption charge filed by CIAA.
The task headed by Pushpa Bhusal has collected Rs.500,000 so far.
NC didn’t show similar interest in helping party leaders similarly charged, sentenced and jailed like Chiranjivi Wagle and Govinda Raj Joshi..

FORMER SPEAKER SUBASH NEMWANG RETURNS O ACTIVE PRACTICE
Kthmandu, 30 Aug.: Former Chairman of constituent assembly (CA)and speaker of parliament Subash Nemwang returned to active legal practice Wednesday.
Nemwang Wednesday argued on behalf of cement company at the supreme country.
Nemwang was associated with UML and elected from a constituency in Ilam before being elected chairman/speaker of the now dissolved CA for six years.
