RESIGNATIONS OF FIVE SECRETARIES ACCEPTED
Kathmandu, 2 Aug. The cabinet Wednesday accepted resignations of five
secretaries who claimed they were superseded while Lilamani Paudel was
appointed chief secretary this week.
This is the first time aspirants resigned en masse though not the first time juniors habe superseded seniors.
The cabinet Wednesday accepted the resignations of five secretaries who
claimed they were superseded— claims denied by Prime Minister
Baburam Bhattarai.

ARMY WELFARE FUND HAS RS.21.75 BILLION .
Kathmandu, 2 Aug.: Altogether Rs. 21.75 billion is collected in The Nepal Army’s Welfare Fund until the end of the fiscal year.
The NA is being reimbursed Rs..2 billion for logistics purchases from UN for peacekeepers.
The Fund had collected Rs. 13.52 billion until July 2009.
Part of the money funds welfare activities for serving and retired soldiers.
