SIX PORTERS ILL AFTER EATING WILD LEAVES IN EVERST REGION
Kathmandu, 4 Aug.: Six persons working as porters in Khumbu region have taken ill after consuming wild green leaves, RSS reports from Solukhumbu..
They fell ill after they ate the curry of green leaves called ´danur´ found in local forest while searching for mulberry.
They fell unconscious when they cooked and ate it Thursday afternoon.
They were living in Fakding of Chaurikharka -5 on rent, said Area Police Office Lukla, Assistant Sub-Inspector Prem Prasad Dahal.
Police brought them to Pasang Lhamu - Nicole Nicky Hospital at Lukla for treatment with the help of locals on Friday.
Those fallen ill have been identified as Nawin Thulung of Pawai-8, Ashish Khaling of Anku-2, Pasang Tamang of Taksindu-4 and his two wives Pasang Lhamu Tamang and Pasang Futi Tamang and their 25-month daughter Dawa Jangmu Tamang.
