UPDATE GOVT. TRANSPORT ENTREPRENEURS TALKS INCONCLUSIVE Kathmandu, 10 Aug.: Talks Friday between government and transport entrepreneurs and three bodies representing workers to end a one-day nation-wide bandh pressing demands like bifurcation of the transport ministry, withdrawal of provision for commissions from tines collected by traffic and other demands were inconclusive. Negotiators dispersed without setting a new date for talks although there was agreement to continue dialogue. Talks overnight before the indefinite bandh strike were also inconclusive. Two sides didn’t even take up issues before dispersing Friday. The strike or bandh will continue for the second day Saturday causing hardships to commuters. More than 120,000 vehicles public vehicles stayed off roads Friday. nnnn
