UPDATE KHUM BAHADUR KHADKA CONVICTED FOR
CORRPTION BY SUPREME COURT
Kathmandu, 14 Aug.: Khum Bahadur Khadka was convicted Tuesday of
corruption charge by supreme court.
CIAA leveled the charge.
Khadha was convicted to 18-year jail sentence along with a Rs.9.4 million fine for possessing unaccounted wealth.
Supporters outside the court shouted pro-Khadka slogans and disrupted
movement of traffic in front of Singha Durbar.
Other NC leaders charged..and convicted for corruption
are ChirabjiviWagle, Govinda Raj Joshi and Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta who now heads MJFN Ganatantrik.
CIAA charged Khadka for misusing his government position to amass
wealth.
Khadka is a supporters of the Sher Bahadur Deuba camp in main opposition NC.
