UML SECRETARY GAYWALI CALLS FOR PACKAGE SOLUTION
Kathmandu, 23 Aug.: Secretary of the CPN (UML), Pradeep Gyawali, said formation of a consensus government was the only way to resolve the present political
Transition, RSS reports.
Speaking at a programme organized here on Thursday, he blamed that the Constituent Assembly (CA) was dissolved due to some political parties' selfish interests on ethnic issues.
During the programme, UML leader Gyawali released the first issue of quarterly magazine 'Riha'.
He said there have been efforts to invite anarchism in the political transition after the dissolution of the CA. Departure of the incumbent government, formation of a consensus government, securing the achievements received from the CA and resolution of the contentious issues through the fresh elections could be the agendas for the package deal, said UML leader Gyawali.
Prof. Dr. Ram Kumar Dahal said political consensus was the right alternative to the present political transition.
Similarly, Joint-secretary of the Sadbhawana Party, Laxman Lal Karn, said the constitution from the CA could not be promulgated due to the struggles between reactionaries and revolutionary forces. He reiterated that Constitution without federalism is not possible.
