UPDATE ON 21-PARTY FRONT
Kathmandu, 15Aug.:Maoist Chairman Prachanda and chairman of a
21-party front announced Wednesday developing it won’t be easy ‘looking at the effort for understanding in the last four years” and added, ’It won’t be easy.”
Prachanda added” “Ot was formed for consensus and evem for coming elections.”
He said the agenda is a ethnic federal province with identity and election for a constituent assembly that should draft a constitution.
The Maoist boss charged main opposition parties NC and UML for power list and called NC President Sushil Koirala ‘irresponsible’
The front discussed its policy and programme that were approved Wednesday.
Prachanda asked other parties to join the front developed for national consensus.
But UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal in a strong reaction called the body ‘anti-national’ which ‘should be dissolved’ while talking to a TV network.
He charged the front was ‘divisive and ethnic’
‘It has been formed at a time when national consensus is being sought,”
Khanal said.
