PM BHATTARAI WILL LEAD NEXT GOVT. SAIYS HIS POLITICAL AIDE
Kathmandu, 19 Sept.: Political Advisor to the Prime Minister, Devendra Poudel has claimed Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai himself would lead the next consensus government to hold election by April next year, RSS reports.
Speaking at an interaction organised by the Reporters' Club in the capital in Wednesday, Advisor Poudel said it would be better to transform Bhattarai government into the national consensus government to hold election in coming April.
Election was the only option to free the country from turmoil because there was slim chance of consensus on the disputed issues of the constitution.
On the occasion, Nepali Congress Spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu said there was no debate on prime ministerial candidate in Nepali Congress. It would produce the candidate within half an hour once the time comes, he added.
The country was facing crisis because of the lack of honesty, he said, adding that fresh people's mandate was the need of day.
According to him if the consensus was forged among political parties, restoration of Constituent Assembly for brief period was possible.
Similarly, Vice-Chairperson of the CPN-UML Bidya Devi Bhandari said ouster of the Prime Minister was the first condition to hold election to Constituent Assembly parliament.
