APPOINTMENTS TO SENIOR POSITIONS IN RBB Kathmandu, 2 Sept.: The Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has of late designated one Acting Executive Director and four Acting Deputy General Managers, RSS reports. The RBB has given the responsibility of Acting Executive Director to the then Deputy General Manager Jyoti Chandra Ojha as per the new provision. The then Departmental Chiefs Madhav Raj Panta, Gopal Chandra Sharma, Bheshraj Panthi and Girija Nanda Paneru have got the responsibility of Acting Deputy General Managers, stated the notice issued by the RBB. nnnn DETAILS OF DEUBA STATEMENT Kathmandu, 2 Sept.: Nepali Congress senior leader and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that there was no alternative to reinstatement of the Constituent Assembly for a political way-out, RSS reports.. Talking to reporters at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday following his return from South Africa, after taking part in the general assembly of Socialist International (SI), leader Deuba said the contentious issues in the constitution making process should be resolved soon through a consensus and the new constitution promulgated from the CA. A legislature-parliament is also essential to go for fresh elections, he added. Responding to queries from journalists after some leaders of the opposition parties stressing on a government of national consensus first, Deuba said, "quarreling alone won't do, first we need to work, need a consensus." Also Vice-president of the SI, leader Deuba said the convention concentrated on efforts to keep the world free of ultra-rightist and ultra-leftist trends. He was accompanied by his wife Dr Arzu Deuba. NC leaders Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Mahendra Yadav and other leaders were present at the airport to welcome leader Deuba. nnnn
