Kathmandu, 30 Sept. Brajesh Mishra, India’s first national security advisor when Atal Bihari Vajpayee of BJP was prime minister, died Friday in New Delhi, published reportsfrom New Delhi said..
He was 84.
Mishra was a former foreign secretary and representative to the United Nations.
Maoist Chairman Prachanda and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai in a secret letter to the Indian government, when Mishra was the national security advisor, assured Maoits fighting a people’s war in Nepal and conducting a trench war against India, wouldn’t harm Indian interests in Nepal.
