CPN MAOIST CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET ENDS SUNDAY Kathmandu, 2 Sept.: Maoist CPN Maoist central committee will conclude Sunday after a four-day meet. A political report of Chairman Mohan Baidya, the party’s general convention in early February 2013 were among the issues discussed. CPN Maoist suggested a roundtable conference, opposed by UCPN Maoist, to resolve a prolonged constitutional and political crisis and stalemate. The party is a splinter group of ruling UCPN Maoist. Main opposition NC central committee also resumes Sunday after a day’s adjournment to discuss a political report of General Secretary Krishna Prasad Shitaula. Theparty is discussing intra-party differences and national issues, including formation of a consensus government formed under it. Majority committee members are pressing for fresh national elections to end a stalemate.
